Thermostats are extremely important because they are your interface and control system for your heating and air conditioning equipment. This is the device that will give you the information on what the equipment is doing, when it needs to be serviced, and allows you to set the exact temperature and humidity you want to maintain in your home.
We highly recommend that you purchase a thermostat that is extremely easy to use, with a large backlit display that you can see clearly day and night. The display should show not only the room temperature but also your set-point (desired temperature), the humidity and the status of the equipment.
ColorTouch Touch Screen Digital Thermostat
The ColorTouch touch screen digital thermostat is installation-friendly with its output test screen that allows the contractor to test the system. Its graphical user interface shows what outputs turn on and which outputs should be on, so the contractor can ensure that all equipment is connected and working properly. The ColorTouch 'My Thermostat' screens allow the contractor to look at the thermostat status, making it easier to troubleshoot equipment or wiring issues. In addition, programming and configuration may be done in advance using the provided ColorTouch Assistant software and an SD memory card.
